On the 4th of July, the ODACians marched forth in celebration of their independence outside the Esplanade. At the stroke of 6pm, the Freshies were directed to the FOOT Receptionists where they were promptly liberated from the chains of S$70 and grandly ushered to their respective groups where they were cheerily greeted by our ever so glamorous GLs.
The Early Birds were itching for a portrait, and Pretty Princess K. was only too happy to accede.(First Row from Left: FionA, Joshua, Kok Siong, Winson, JiNli, Michelle; Clump at the Back: Ching, Hazel, Ruyan, Denis and QingYong) See if you can spot them this Saturday! :)
Our mob was cued by racking our brains hard for an adjective that would aptly describe ourselves.
The challenge was mind-boggling, but it started us on the first step of "Bridging the Octanites!"
Amid the stiffy gray skies, we were engaged in a game of "Blow Wind Blow"...
where cordial civilians were transformed into brash barbarians! Slowpokes of Octans were then carefully selected for a special forfeit...To the "7 Steps of Micturition!"
Night drew near and our eyesights were then brutally tested with a game of "Where's The Penny?"A game tailored for Cheapos, a 20-cent-coin is grasped tightly in his palm. Even as one tries to pitiably whine for it, the vicious Scrooge shall heartlessly refuse relinquishing over the precious penny. Boo! :(
The Sun tsk-tsked down the skies, in disapproval of our excessively unpalatable behaviour. We were compelled to draw a finito on our activities with a customary ODAC salutation.
And thus spelt the birth of the O-some Octans!
For those who had the misfortune of missing the Briefing, I do hope that this entry has shed some light of what was done on our Independence Day!
Of Barbarians and Cheapos...
